4 Mindful Morning Habits For a Productive Day

Having a morning routine is a proven way to have a successful and productive day, but what exactly is a morning routine and how do you start one that works for you?

First lets start with defining what it means to have a morning routine. Mornings can be hectic for some of us and leave us feeling like we are scrambling just to get our day started when it should actually be one of the most peaceful and ordered parts of your day. I mean you are setting the tone for the next 12 hours of your waken life . A morning routine is a set of habits cultivated to bring that peace and order you need in the mornings. It can include the basics: shower, get dressed, have breakfast of course, but Im here to help you elevate the basics and incorporate the things that help to center you and put your best foot forward. Lets get into it.

First things first: Getting an early start. It has been long studied that people who get an early start are more successful in life. Although thats motivation enough, getting started earlier can allow the busiest of us 🙋🏽‍♀️(entrepreneur, mom of 4) a little time to ourselves to start the day at a slower pace before we dive into the day.

Start the day with gratitude! One of my favorite sayings goes “ Gratitude is the gateway to happiness.” Wake up and immediately acknowledge all that you have to be thankful for! You can do this through a gratitude journal, inner reflection or speaking it out loud through prayer. You will definitely see an immediate boost in your mood. Here’s your first one: “Im grateful I woke up this morning and for another day to be great and live a wellthy life!”

This next one falls under what not to do. DONT immediately reach for your phone. I know this one may be hard, but spend some time with yourself before you invite the energy of others in. If the first thing you do is consume news, view your friends life updates or check emails you’ve allowed outside sources to dictate your day before you could!

Speaking of, Start your day with a short task list to give your day some direction. That small piece of preparedness will get you off on a good start and will be one less thing to worry about first thing in the morning. I know Ive been there before, especially when Ive had a lot on my plate. My list was my immediate answer to “Where do I start?”

Bonus: Start with movement. Even if you can’t fit in a full workout; a short stretch is enough to get you heart pumping; blood flowing and endorphins up!

What do you plan to incorporate into your morning routine? What didn’t I include that you feel gets your day off to a good start?

I hope you found this list helpful!

Continue to grow and glow in wellth, xoxo Queen
